Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody!
First blog post! Thought I'd start the year by sharing some bts of each look in my collection. Today I'll start with The Tennyson Grey set. I have a soft spot for grey, and it's the first set I completed so it holds a special place in my heart.
I decided after much work to name the first pieces after the authors of my favorite classic poems, because they're, well, classic, and also out of copy-write. I chose Tennyson for his poem The Lady of Shalott, it's one of my top favorite poems, to the point where I learned to recite it from memory, word for word, a few years ago. I'm pretty rusty now but I still try sometimes! I also wanted a line in the poem to contain the word 'grey,' the color of the set, and I used the excerpt with it in the product listing on my store for the Tennyson Grey pieces.

“Willows whiten, aspens quiver,
Little breezes dusk and shiver
Thro’ the wave that runs for ever
By the island in the river
Flowing down to Camelot.

Four grey walls, and four grey towers,
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.”

You can, and I recommend it if you haven't done it, read the whole poem here https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45360/the-lady-of-shalott-1842

Cheers for now, and check back for the brief history of Noyes Red, coming up next!
